Past Projects
Mass Family Voices has engaged in a number of activities of the past few years to help develop parent leadership, particularly in partnering with other professionals to enhance the quality of care for children and youth with special health care needs. Past activities have included:
- Parent Leader Meetings to help families develop leadership roles in working with providers, agencies, insurers, and other key stake holders;
- The project "Building Capacity for Family Partnerships with Managed Care Organizations", a collaboration with managed care organizations to help them and their insured families learn more about CSHCN;
- A conference, Partnerships for Quality, to engage key stakeholders in sharing information about partnerships to improve the quality of health care; and
- The project, Family Advisor Initiative, a joint effort with New England Serve to interview insurers and learn more about their Managed Care Programs and Policies for CSHCN.
