Parents as Partners in Patient Safety
This workshop will provide strategies, tips and techniques for patients and families to become partners in patient safety. The presenter will draw on effective ideas from inpatient and ambulatory projects to stimulate discussion on how patients and parents have contributed to safety and quality improvement efforts in pediatric healthcare.

Public & Private Health Financing Issues for Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs
Learn how to make sense of MassHealth (the Massachusetts medicaid program), understand program eligibilty & services as the sole form of insurance or as a coordination of benefits with private health insurance coverage. The presenters will discuss advocacy strategies to maximize benefits and address health insurance issues for youth in transition.
